The Bermondsey Project was a large scale mixed-use regeneration development transforming a former industrial site in Bermondsey, South London, into a new residential led neighbourhood. Spanning approximately 5 hectares, the scheme was planned to deliver more than 1,600 homes alongside retail, workspace, community and educational facilities. The development integrated the refurbishment of retained heritage buildings with a series of contemporary residential and mixed-use structures, supported by new public spaces, landscaped areas and improved pedestrian connections. The project represented a significant urban renewal initiative, creating a vibrant and sustainable destination while preserving elements of the site's historic character.
Wentworth supported Keltbray’s demolition and groundworks at the Bermondsey Project, acting as Contractor’s Responsible Engineer for the railway interface. Our structural and geotechnical input helped the team develop its construction approach alongside the operating viaduct and navigate the associated assurance process.
