The redevelopment of the landmark 1960s Elephant & Castle shopping centre, demolished from 2020, into a new town centre of homes, shops, a new campus for London College of Communication and a rebuilt Northern line ticket hall - all above and beside live London Underground infrastructure. Wentworth supported the enabling works at Elephant & Castle through geotechnical assessment and construction engineering. Our involvement helped the delivery team understand how the works above ground affected the railway below, informing the sequence within this tightly constrained town-centre site.
