Designed by WilkinsonEyre for Mitsubishi Estate and Stanhope, 8 Bishopsgate was a 50-storey, approximately 204m office tower in the City of London. Its stacked, stepping volumes culminated in a free public viewing gallery, The Lookout. The building was completed in 2023.
Wentworth provided construction engineering and structural design review for 8 Bishopsgate, helping the delivery team develop the sequence as the tower rose. We connected the behaviour of the emerging structure with the practical demands of construction, from enabling works through to the high-rise build.
