The Shard

The Shard · project photograph

The Shard - Western Europe's tallest building at 310m and 95 storeys, designed by Renzo Piano beside London Bridge station. This engagement covered the demolition of the former Southwark Towers and construction of the deep basement that preceded the tower, completed in 2012.

Wentworth supported Keltbray through the Shard’s demolition and basement stages. Our construction engineering connected removal of Southwark Towers with the new foundations, helping the team develop a workable sequence beside the operational London Bridge station.
