IBM Southbank

IBM Southbank · project photograph

The refurbishment and extension of the Grade II listed former IBM headquarters on the South Bank - Denys Lasdun's 1980s concrete building beside the National Theatre - reworked as modern offices (subsequently named '76 Southbank'). Redeveloped for Wolfe/Stanhope with AHMM.

Wentworth combined structural assessment with sustained site engineering during the refurbishment of the former IBM building. Working closely with the delivery team, we helped translate an understanding of the existing frame into practical decisions as the building was altered and extended.
