The demolition and decommissioning of Ferrybridge 'C', a former coal-fired power station in West Yorkshire closed by SSE in 2016. Works between 2019 and 2022 brought down eight reinforced-concrete cooling towers and two 198m chimneys.
Wentworth supported Keltbray’s demolition works at Ferrybridge through structural assessment and construction methodology. Understanding the existing industrial structures informed how they could be dismantled, helping the delivery team develop removal strategies appropriate to their scale and changing condition.
