Brynmawr Gateway Arch

Brynmawr Gateway Arch · project photograph

The Brynmawr Gateway Arch, also known as the Jack Williams Gateway Bridge, was a steel arch road bridge over the A465 Heads of the Valleys road in South Wales, designed by Knight Architects.

Wentworth supported Costain with construction-stage engineering for the Brynmawr Gateway Arch. Our assessment considered the permanent bridge and temporary works as a combined structure, informing how the arch and deck could be installed through successive changes in support and loading.
