Delivering construction within tight confined boundaries

25.03.26
The Paddington OSD site is one of the most spatially constrained footprints in London, positioned directly above the Bakerloo line, immediately alongside the Hammersmith & City Line, bordering the LU station northern entrance, resting on the taxi ramp roof structure, and hemmed in by the canal. The foundation footprint - a triangular plan of roughly 800 m² (c. 30 m × 47 m × 61 m) - leaves little tolerance for material laydown, plant positioning, or overlapping works.

Maintaining progress under these constraints has required extremely careful sequencing and close collaboration. Keltbray’s on site delivery teams have been instrumental in coordinating piling, excavation, propping and core works within such a restricted footprint while keeping LU operations and public access fully maintained.
