The London tunnels and approaches contracts for HS2 Phase One, running from the Euston terminus out to West Ruislip. Delivered by the Skanska Costain STRABAG (SCS) joint venture, the works included twin-bored tunnels, shafts and station approaches. Other designs included working platforms and temporary earth retention works.
Wentworth supported SCS with construction-stage design and separate independent checking commissions. Our structural and geotechnical input helped the team address the interaction between new works and existing transport infrastructure, bringing buildability and technical assurance to the proposed construction methods.
