The Castlegate regeneration in Sheffield - the council-led scheme reopening the River Sheaf and creating new public realm on the former markets/castle site, including retaining structures and river works.
Wentworth supported Sheffield’s Castlegate regeneration from feasibility through design and construction. Working with the contractor, lead designer and council, we helped reconcile new infrastructure and the reopening of the River Sheaf with the site’s existing structures, heritage and archaeological constraints.
