Wentworth is unique in the consulting industry, offering in-house surveying, testing, repair, and verification of existing structures — including specialist lifting and jacking operations. Available as a standalone service or integrated with our design expertise, we provide clients with everything needed to assess, enhance, repurpose, and adapt existing structures.

3D Modelling + Detailing

Wentworth has the tools to visualise, analyse, design, check and present the most complex design solutions using 3D software.

Conception and design

Our default is to model our projects in 3D. We build 3D models to allow us to coordinate the project and interfaces and allow better understanding of the project. This understanding aids the development of analysis models and detailed design and also the planning of the construction methodology in a coordinated manner. We utilise 3D structural and geotechnical analysis software to solve the increasingly complex challenges on projects where site constraints or the proposed structure demand it.

Construction information

Our Technician team specialises in the detailing of structural steelwork and reinforced concrete (RC), working with the engineering team to produce solutions for both temporary and permanent works. We create detailed, constructible models and drawings that take into consideration the safety elements of a task, efficiency and buildability whilst making it as cost effective as possible.

Whether designing for temporary structures like formwork and back propping, or for permanent elements such as façade retention systems, RC foundations, or steel frame connections, our team combines technical expertise with industry best practices and software’s to deliver high quality outputs for all our clients. Working in 3D ensures coordination and avoids clashes and presents construction information through models to allow the construction team to visualise and plan their works.

All of our construction stage information for connection designs and reinforcement detailing is produced in Tekla, ensuring alignment with the industry standard software in use by fabricators and preserving the digital information flow from design to manufacture.
